What to Know: Recreation Swim is offered Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1:30–3:00 PM and Saturdays from 2:00–5:00 PM between June 29 and August 8 (excluding July 4, 10, and 11).
Cost: $3 per person. Single-day and 6-visit passes are available.
Phillip West Aquatics Center in American Canyon
What to Know: Open Recreation Swim runs from June 8 through September 26, and no reservations are required. Recreation Swim hours are Monday–Friday from 1:30 PM–4:00 PM (through August 7) and Saturdays from 1:00 PM–5:00 PM (through September 26). The facility will be closed on June 12, June 19, July 3, and July 4.

St. Helena High School Aquatics Complex
What to Know: The St. Helena High School Aquatics Complex is operated by Waves Aquatics Napa Valley and offers recreational open swim during the summer season. Open swim runs from June 15 through August 7, 2026. Children ages 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. St. Helena Unified School District students and staff receive free admission through August 8.

Calistoga Community Pool
What to Know: The Calistoga Community Pool offers recreation swim, lap swim, water aerobics, and swim lessons. Pool hours vary by season, so be sure to check the current schedule before visiting. Calistoga residents and those living within the Calistoga Joint Unified School District boundaries can enjoy free pool admission with a registered season pass. Youth swim lessons are also free for local residents with separate registration.

Bothe-Napa Valley State Park Swimming Pool
What to Know: The swimming pool at Bothe-Napa Valley State Park is a seasonal family favorite open on weekends and holidays from Memorial Day through Labor Day. It’s a simple, classic park pool experience—perfect for cooling off after hiking, camping, or a day exploring wine country with kids. Lifeguards are on duty during operating hours.

Allan Witt Park Aquatics Complex

What to Know: The Allan Witt Park Aquatics Complex is a large, family-friendly water park-style facility featuring both indoor and outdoor attractions. Guests can enjoy a natatorium with a retractable roof, lazy river, zero-depth entry play area, diving board, drop slide, and six-lane activity pool. Outdoors, Playland Lagoon offers shallow water play features, slides, climbing structures, and spray areas for younger kids. There are also two large 30-foot slides for older children and adults over 48 inches tall. Shaded picnic areas are available, and guests may bring their own food and drinks (no glass or alcohol allowed).

What to Know: Sonoma Splash Aquatics Center offers open recreation swim at both the Competition Pool and Warm Teaching Pool, with lap swim available when lanes are not reserved for programming. The Splash Aquapark is a seasonal inflatable obstacle course set in the deep end of the pool where kids can run, jump, climb, and slide across floating structures.

The River Electric
What to Know: The River Electric features two distinct pool experiences: the Main Pool and the Little Dipper Pool. The Little Dipper Pool is a smaller, adults-only pool located next to the pool bar and is also available for private rentals at times.

Guests may arrive between 10 AM and 4 PM, with the site closing at 5–6 PM depending on amenities.
