A Family Day at Pronzini Farms Pumpkin Patch in Petaluma

Looking for a fall adventure that’s worth the drive from Napa? 🎃 Pronzini Farms Pumpkin Patch in Petaluma is a festive spot to spend a few hours (or most of the day) with kids, with pumpkins to pick, farm animals to visit, giant slides, games, and plenty of classic Halloween photo ops.

We love that there’s more to do here than just choose a pumpkin. Whether you’re visiting with toddlers, elementary-schoolers, or a mix of ages, there are activities for different interests—and space to slow down, grab a bite, and enjoy a fall afternoon together.

Pumpkins, Photo Ops & Farm Fun

One of the highlights is wandering through the pumpkin patch to find your family’s favorite. From little pumpkins to larger ones ready for carving, there’s plenty to browse, along with seasonal decorations and colorful displays that make fun backdrops for family photos.

Bring your camera! Between the Halloween decorations, vintage farm equipment, Western-themed displays, and creative yard art, there are lots of opportunities for those annual fall family pictures.

Beyond the pumpkins, kids can explore the corn pit, climb the hay tower, visit the petting zoo, see the viewing animals, and try family-friendly games like cornhole, horseshoes, roping, and steer toss. There are also small bounce houses and a tire playground included with general admission.

Rides & Attractions for Kids

If your kids are anything like ours, they’ll probably have their eyes on the rides as soon as you arrive!

Additional attractions are available using a punch card, including the Mega Slide, tube slide, Goliath Slide, merry-go-round, pillow bounce, and John Deere tractor rides.

New for 2026 are a 150-foot Mega Slide, John Deere Bounce House, and Cow Tractor Ride.

There’s also a train ride to the Western Village, giving families another way to explore the farm.

Napa Kids tip: If your kids want to try several attractions, look at the punch-card options before purchasing. Each card includes 25 punches, and different rides use different amounts. You can also enjoy plenty of activities without buying a punch card.

Make Time for Lunch

A day at the pumpkin patch is always better when nobody is hungry!

Pronzini Farms has food vendors, picnic tables, and places to take a break between activities. Sax’s Joint serves food, beer, and wine on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and Taco Don Pepe and El Brinquito are also listed among the food options.

There’s a shaded picnic area under the big tent, plus a café deck overlooking the lake—a nice place for parents to take a breather while the kids enjoy the farm.

Weekend visitors can also catch live music under the big tent.

A Little Spooky: The Haunted Trail & Fright Night

Ready for something a little more Halloween-themed? The Haunted Trail is another attraction at Pronzini Farms, available during daytime hours.

For older kids and adults looking for a spookier experience, Fright Night takes place Friday and Saturday evenings in October from 7–10 p.m. It’s a guided tour through the Haunted Village, and the farm recommends it for ages 12 and up.

Reservations are suggested but not required for Fright Night. Call (707) 778-3871 to reserve.

For families with younger children, the daytime pumpkin patch is the better place to start.

Our Napa Kids Tips for a Great Visit

  • Arrive earlier on weekends. The closer it gets to Halloween, the more popular pumpkin patches tend to become. An earlier start gives you more time to explore.

  • Set an activity budget. General admission covers plenty, but rides and larger attractions cost extra. Decide with your kids which rides are must-dos before buying punch cards.

  • Wear comfortable shoes. You’ll want to walk around, explore the displays, and keep up with little ones.

  • Bring a camera and a little patience. Let the kids pick their own pumpkins and enjoy the experience rather than trying to fit every activity into one visit.

  • Make a meal of it. Plan a lunch or snack break so you can enjoy the farm without rushing from one attraction to the next.

  • Check the weather and website first. October conditions and seasonal schedules can change, so it’s worth checking before leaving Napa.
